The short version: we collect what you send us so we can answer you and quote your job. We use your files only for your quote and your tool. We don’t sell your information.

Who we are

True North Design designs and builds custom EOAT, machines and prototypes at 8141 Logistics Dr, STE B, Zeeland, Michigan 49464. In this policy, “we” means True North Design, and “the site” means truenorthdsn.com.

What we collect

• When you contact us. The contact form asks for your name, email, phone, company and message. It comes to our team by email.
• When you request an EOAT quote. The quote form asks for your contact details, details about your part, mold, press and robot, your timing, and any files you choose to upload (CAD models, drawings, photos).
• When you email or call us. Whatever you choose to send.
• Automatically. Like most sites, our web host keeps basic technical records (IP address, browser type, pages visited and time) for security and to keep the site running. We also use Google Analytics to see how visitors find and use the site. It records things like pages viewed, approximate location (city or region) and device type, and it uses cookies.

How we use it

• To answer your question and prepare your quote
• To design and build your tool or machine if you order
• To follow up on your request
• To keep the site secure and block spam
• To understand which pages are useful and improve the site

We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t add anyone to a marketing list.

Your files

We use files you upload only to prepare your quote and, if you order, to design your tool. They’re kept in access-controlled storage. If we don’t quote, they’re deleted after 30 days. If we quote or build, they’re kept with that job’s records. We’re glad to sign an NDA before you send anything.

Export-controlled data: if your data is ITAR or export-controlled, don’t send it through the website. Email us at Email first and we’ll arrange a proper way to share it.

Companies that help us run the site

A few service providers handle information for us, only to provide their service:

• Web hosting (Flywheel, part of WP Engine) runs the site and keeps its server logs.
• Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a bot, is sending the quote form. It may look at browser and device signals.
• Google provides site fonts, our map link, Google Analytics and our Business Profile.
• Microsoft 365 handles our email.
• Our quoting system receives quote requests and stores uploaded files.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

Cookies

The site uses a few cookies: some it needs to work and to block spam, and analytics cookies that tell us how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries, quotes and job records as long as we need them for the work and for normal business records. Uploaded files follow the rule above.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we have about you. Email Email and we’ll reply within 30 days. Some job records may need to be kept for legal or accounting reasons. If so, we’ll tell you.

Security

The site uses HTTPS, and access to quote files is limited to our team. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

Children

This site is for businesses. It isn’t meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
